Robby has done everything from multi-member LLC's, to Tenant-In-Common deals, to complex syndicated offerings with over 30 investors and multiple structures to accommodate 1031 exchanges. We are working on public-private partnerships as well, and his nonprofit experience ties in well to assist not-for-profit entities with their real estate projects.

Depending on the nature of the project and the complexity of each component, Robby either points the direction, assists with implementation, or joins the leadership team. Each project is either optimal for fee generation, ownership, or a blend of the two. In more structured opportunities like what Y Street Capital offers, these contain less flexibility than a well-fitting local project with more flexibility. Opportunities are everywhere.

If you have sufficient cash to invest, this can be a good option for you. However, sometimes creating a partnership is a more effective way to begin a real estate investment career, and sometimes partnerships do not offer the proper "return on hassle".
